Discover the Cottage
Downstairs
The kitchen is well equipped with all that you need to cook up a feast. There is an electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, and dishwasher. Salt, pepper and olive oil are provided, along with cleaning supplies and dishwasher tablets. There is also a washing machine in the kitchen for you to pop your clothes in after a long day of hiking, and an airer to dry things on.
The cosy sitting room is the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the great outdoors. We have plenty of DVDs to choose from as well as a freesat TV. Relax and read your book with the sounds of the open fire cracking away in the background, or eat a hearty meal with your family around the table. We provide a generous basket of wood, kindling and firelighters with an additional box under the stairs. Extra wood can be bought from the garage in Lochcarron. There is also a fireguard available for the safety of your children or dog.
Upstairs
Upstairs there are two welcoming bedrooms; one with a king-sized bed and the other with twin beds. Both rooms offer views of the charming garden and come equipped with soft bed linens and fluffy towels for a truly relaxing experience. The bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower, along with locally made luxury cruelty-free body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
The Garden
The Bothy is set in a mature garden, full of rhododendrons, azaleas and mature trees. The garden is a quiet and tranquil space that boasts stunning views of the mountains behind. A river flows at the bottom of the garden with waterfalls about 100 meters away from the cottage. There is outdoor seating to enjoy alfresco dining or simply to enjoy a cup of tea whist listening to the birds chirping as they go about their day. There are a range of Munros locally which can be reached by walking from the cottage or with a short drive, as well as some lovely low level walks. Please note that the garden, waterfall and river area is not fenced off.
General Information
You’ll find a tea tray with tea, coffee, and handmade chocolate waiting for you on arrival. You are welcome to arrive from 4pm and we ask you to depart by 10am.
Wild Garden Cottages has a private water supply from an artesian well, which passes through a UV purification system, and provides our cottages with fresh spring water. There are security cameras at the entrance gate and where cars are parked.
