From Inverness
Take the A9 west out of Inverness, crossing Kessock Bridge. Take the second exit at the roundabout towards Ullapool along the A835. Continue along the road for 5 1/2 half miles, going straight over at the roundabout, second exit, continuing along the A835.
Carry along the road for 13 miles or around 20 minutes. Once you pass through Garve take the left exit on to the A832 towards Gairloch, look out for the brown NC500 sign.
Continue along the road for 15 miles or around 18 minutes until you reach a roundabout in Achnasheen. Take the first exit on to the A890 following the NC500 route, continue along the road for 12 miles/15 minutes, the driveway will be on your right-hand side with a sign pointing up to the railway station. Their entrance to the driveway has a red telephone box. Carry on up the driveway until you reach the white gates, go through the white gates and find some parking.
From Invergarry
Travel along the A87 for 44 miles/1hour. Once you have gone over the Loch Long Bridge drive another 3 minutes until you reach a right turn towards Gairloch and Lochcarron. Take this exit onto the A890 and drive 15 miles/20 minutes, crossing a railway at Strathcarron and reaching a T-junction. Turn right following signs to Achnasheen, the driveway entrance is 6 miles/10 minutes along the road on the left with a red telephone box and a sign to the railway station.
Parking
There is ample parking outside the cottagnes in front of the garages.
By Train
Arrive at Achnashellach Station
For those looking to travel more sustainably or prefer not to use a car, our cottages are easily accessible by train. Achnashellach station is in short walking distance, with trains heading towards Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness.
